Juliette Waterhouse

Managing Director

Juliette founded Real Capital London in 2014. She has significant knowledge in improving returns and key value drivers of real asset and financial investments in the UK, Continental Europe and the Far East. Juliette is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), and she holds an MSc in Real Estate from the University of Reading. This is combined with twenty years of experience in various aspects of the real estate and investment business, with a broad understanding of capital markets, corporate finance, tax, risk management, financial reporting and asset management. Juliette has obtained her rounded knowledge and skills in real asset and financial investment through working for PwC, DTZ, Chesterton and Keppel Group (Singapore). She has established a strong network within the real estate and financial services industry in the UK and international markets.

Juliette’s passion is to create a quality healthcare product that is accessible to all. With a wide range of experience shown above, Juliette is expanding her expertise into the healthcare and education sectors. The aim is to bring the best of her knowledge and expertise into the sectors that requires a combination of financial investment skills and compassion to improve people’s lives, and achieve a “best in class” healthcare and education facility in Vietnam and South East Asian region.

Anna Cox

Director

Anna is a non-executive director and provides advice in asset management. She has over fourteen years of experience across a broad range of asset valuations, trading, risk management and regulations in the UK and Continental Europe. Anna has obtained strong knowledge of valuations, financial markets, trading strategies and quantitative & qualitative risk management. She has demonstrated confidence, technical ability, organisational skills, ease with clients and a seasoned leadership.

Anna’s experience builds on her roles at PwC’s Financial Services Valuation Group, Bank of England and Lehman Brothers.

John Story

Director

John is in charge of our commercial real estate investment. He has over forty years experience in the property industry both in the UK and Overseas. He has been in private practice with local and major Chartered Surveying Practices (Debenham Tewson and Chinnocks – now DTZ – in the City, and Richard Ellis – now CBRE – in Australia), and spent 27 years with Unilever. He was Property Investment Manager for the UK pension fund property portfolio for 22 years and then became the Head of UK Property, looking after the Corporate Estate. Since leaving Unilever, he has been involved in post graduate education as well as being on the Advisory Board of Climate Change Property Fund, and, for a time, acted as a consultant to Investment Property Databank (IPD).

During his career, John has been involved in a wide range of projects from major property investment to development, and has had exposure to many and different property sectors.

John is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and has been a leading figure in the Investment Property Forum for many years with whom he is a Life Member.

Tom Herron

Director

Tom is in charge of our operation in South East Asia. He is a Fortune 500-experienced finance professional with over fifteen years’ experience advising and managing clients, executing advisory and leading investment projects, implementing corporate initiatives, assisting with clients’ transactions decisions, developing organizational branding, and leading investors relations and Board-level communication.

Prior to joining Real Capital London, Tom worked for Citibank in New York, Jardine Fleming in Singapore, Deloitte and Ernst & Young in Vietnam.

Roger Waterhouse

Chairman and Director

Roger is the Chairman of our board, and in charge of our infrastructure investment and education. He started as a civil engineer and Chartered Construction Manager with Sir Alfred McAlpine and managed projects in the UK and Africa for 15 years. Then returned to undertake an MSc in Project Management at Reading University (RU) after which he moved to Singapore and taught construction management at the National University of Singapore (NUS) for over 3 years.
He later returned to the UK and helped establish the Reading MBA in Construction and Real Estate for RU/CEM and became the Director of International and Business Studies. He helped author all 5 editions of the CIOB’s Code of Practice for Project Management and was Chairman for the authoring of the Code of Practice for Programme Management in the Built Environment where he again represented the RICS and APM.

He has been an RICS APC Assessor Chairman and Chair of RICS Disciplinary Committee. He was a member of the RICS Project Management Faculty Board for 19 years (including Vice Chair for 13 years).
Roger is a Fellow of:
CIOB (Chartered Institute of Building)
APM (Association for Project Management)
HEA (Higher Education Academy)
His work has been published widely in the UK.
